Kupwara, December 27, 2023, – Growth Sports Academy proudly announces the remarkable achievement of its Under 14 Girls Rugby Team, securing 3rd place in the prestigious Khelo India Rugby Women’s League 2023 held at Polo Ground Srinagar from December 25 to 26, 2023.

Led by the dedicated coaching of Aadil Manzoor Peer and efficient management by Zakir Hussain Wani, the Growth Sports Academy girls, including Captain Toiba Wani, Sama Noshad, Munazirah Mushtaq, Aiman Iqbal, Ulfat Jan, Sadiya Bilal, Sabiya Ashraf, Bintul Huda, Safad Binti Sheeraz, Muntazirah Maqbool, Mehvish Gulzar, and Mehak Subhan, displayed exceptional skill, determination, and teamwork throughout the tournament.

In the thrilling 3rd/4th place playoff, Growth Sports Academy emerged victorious with a commanding 10-0 win against the formidable Power Punch Rugby Club Pulwama. The triumph showcased the team’s prowess on the field, demonstrating their commitment to excellence.

The squad’s stellar performance in the playoffs saw Toiba Wani and Munazirah Mushtaq contributing to the scoreboard with one try each, securing the well-deserved victory for Growth Sports Academy.

Coach Aadil Manzoor Peer expressed his pride in the team’s performance, stating, “I am delighted with the girls’ dedication and hard work. This achievement reflects not only their talent but also the coaching and support they have received.”
